The Northeast Region is a wonderful mixture of rural and urban areas. This mix offers an interesting mix of people, ideas and places. You can travel to any District within the Northeast Region and find wonderful friends and excellent riding.

Dottie and I have been involved in GWRRA since we first took possession of our 1999 Pearl Gray Pearl Green GL1500 SE. The Chapter discovered that we had ordered a Gold Wing and invited us to join them for their events. . Dottie saw how much fun I was having riding and almost immediately asked for her own Wing. She rides a Yellow GL1800 with a Motor Trike kit while I currently ride a Red GL1800. We have easily ridden over 100,000 miles since joining GWRRA.

We are level 4 riders in the Rider Education Program and in January 2011, we will earn our Grand Master designation. During the last 12 years, we have held a variety of positions at the Chapter level including Chapter Directors, Treasurers, Ride Coordinators. We served as New York District Trainers and later as Directors from 2006 until September 2009. On the Region level we served as the Region Leadership Trainers.

We thoroughly enjoy being members of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. The Chapters and Districts within the Northeast Region host a variety of Chapter and District events. All of them are a great deal of fun. These events offer great opportunities to have fun and connect with our GWRRA friends from throughout the Region.

As Region Directors, we are extremely proud of the Chapters and Districts within our Region. One of our goals as Region Directors is to support our Chapter Directors and District Directors and to turn the focus to the Members. We have some spectacular members, they deserve the spotlight.
